Reconstruction of the road on the right bank of the La Gabelle power station

Reconstruction of the La Gabelle dam road over a distance of 2 km on the right bank.

This project consisted of:

• Rainwater drainage
• Earth moving
• Placement of aggregate and asphalt

The existing bridge over the Milette stream was also demolished and replaced by a prefabricated culvert.

One of the major elements of this project was the construction of a sheet-piling retaining wall 330 metres long.

Environmental factors were a constant concern on the job site, because of the Milette stream, which flows into the St-Maurice River.
